Raft/Float Fishing Trips (10 to 12 hours)

On this trip we use a raft to fish large back country rivers accessing parts of the river that rarely get fished. These rivers contain large populations of hard fighting rainbow trout and big brown trout. We usually cover 10km to 14km of river in a day with a combination of fishing the deeper pools from the raft and stopping, getting out and fishing the shallow riffles as well as some of the small streams entering the main river. This trip is ideal for the avid fly fisherman wanting to experience some of the best fishing New Zealand has to offer and spectacular scenery. This trip is also ideal for the less agile fisherman as not much walking and wading is required.
