The store is owned and run by Marcel, Jack & Vera Ryda

Jack, Vera and Marcel have re-established this old Tongariro river landmark. Marcel has been a fishing guide in the Taupo district for the last 10 years so has an extensive knowledge of the region.
By joining their passion for fishing and the New Zealand lifestyle they have fitted out the store to reflect the history of region.

First started in 1940 the general Store has been a feature of Taupehi Road for 50 years and the fly shop was incorporated in 2002. A regular meeting place for locals and a great place to gather information about which pools were fishing the store now has an expresso coffee machine and plenty of seating for everyone to relax.
